Colors in the Dark: digital delay

I decided on the color gray. It's a personal favorite of mine, although I've decided not to try and ponder a lot about why it is. To me, gray has always just been that color. Blue is beloved, red is strong, yellow is bright, white is soft, black is dark and sleek, but gray, gray is just gray. It's dull. It's doesn't stand out. It's just...there. It's an absolutely wonderful color though. I wouldn't say that its "overlooked", or "misunderstood". It's just...gray.

Gray is also a neutral color. It's in between the ever battling colors of white and black. It's right in the middle. It's not extreme. It's not vibrant. It's not "earthy", or "dream-like". Gray is a pretty modest color, it doesn't have a whole lot to brag about. Gray is the color version of having a day that's not great, bad, simple, complex, or frustrating, but just...one of those days. More like, another one of those days.

There's not a whole lot to say about it. It's the color of gloomy days. It's the color of smog. It's the color of an abundance of everyday items and occurrences. It just doesn't happen to be as lucky as all the other colors. It shouldn't be pitied, you shouldn't feel sorry for it. It doesn't get to be the "indie" color either, black gets that title. It just doesn't get to be as special as all the colors. But that's ok, I'm sure gray goes along just fine as gray.

[Untitled]

How do you see the world around you? Do you wake up every morning telling yourself, “today is going to be stupendous”? Do you see each day as a chance to do something great and meaningful in the world? Do you see each day as the time you must endure until you fall asleep again? Do you see each day as painful torture?

How do you see the people around you? Do you see them as wonderful, cheerful people? Do you see them as people you should unconditionally be kind too? Do you see them as cruel sadists who take advantage of your kindness, and therefore you hate their rotten guts outs?

Could it be true that the way people treat you is a reflection of the way you treat others?
“treat others as you would have them treat yourself”

Do you hide yourself from the rest of the world, maybe because you’re afraid, pr perhaps, you’re just sick of it all.

Maybe, you don’t even give donglefuidck about any of this (its the little thing on the bottom left).

Aimless wandering usually isn’t fun. Neither is aimless pondering. When you do, you’re pretty much lost. It could be literally being lost, being lost mentally, or just a certain feeling. The feeling when you just sit there, after you’ve aimlessly pondered, and wonder, what was all that for?

You feel you’re doing everything wrong. Of course, you haven’t, and you know it, but you’re not quite ready to accept it. You’ve done bad things, maybe you haven’t exactly killed a million people, but you haven’t really done anything good either. It’s an odd feeling, and indescribable one. My attempt at describing something indescribable would fall short, but here it is: it feels there’s a huge bomb inside of you. It’s blown up, and you’re waiting to feel it. Yet you don’t exactly have fire and debris flying out of your mouth and nostrils. The tension of waiting to feel it, feels like it could kill you already. It’s that tension, that anxiety that can just drive someone mad. There’s not much to do about it but try and relax, but that’s sort of hard sometimes. You know you have to fix whatever the problem was. You know you have to do something, at least should. Yet, there you sit, aimlessly meandering fields of grass. Fields empty of everything, but the grass under your feet, and you.

I'd rather not leap, Julius.

Hey there...again.

I hope you've been enjoying the Acquired Minds. From life teaching, life inspiring, life changing posts to hilarious, random, humorous posts...we're here to liven up your day, and possibly, put a new chapter into your life.

Well, the clam is back, with his not-so-humorous cheesy articles (I feel ashamed...).

Hah, today's Leap Year day. Happy Leap Year's Day. Those poor unfortunate souls who get born today...their birthday doesn’t come in another four years. Next thing you know, they're 20 already.

In fact, who even came up with the LEAP YEAR anyhow? Thanks to Yahoo! News, I finally know (not that I cared four years ago...).

You know that fancy looking, grand hotel in Las Vegas? The one with the tall giant pillars, naked statues, and humungous fountains? Yeah, the Caesars Palace. And NO, it wasn't because of the hotel that leap year existed...it was the guy it was named after. Julius Caesar—and his wife Cleopatra. After marrying his Egyptian wife, he found out that the Egyptian calendar had an extra day every four years—and the Roman calendar did not. I sense jealously there, Julius. *tsktsk*

Okay, well, after all these discoveries made by the unheard-of-smartness of the Egyptians, the 'jealous Julius' decided to add a day every four years in his calendar too. Seriously, envy is the killer of all things.

I find that funny. People wayyy back in the days were so SMART. They created all sorts of things...inventions, ideas, and all these things we use today. We have all the technology we could ask for nowadays, and guess what, we're all dumb folks. Seriously. Could YOU sit down and just invent an airplane or something...or come up with the theory of gravity? I don't think so.

Anyhow, that was totally random. But Happy Leap Year's Day.

"...life's more painless...for the brainless..." [From 'Wicked'--Song: 'Dancing Through Life'] I totally agree...
