Dragging Along

Things are obviously going extremely slow during the past five days of September. It's a really busy month for everyone, so don't expect articles popping out like wildfire such as July (although, I have to admit—I've had a bad case of writer's block...I can't think of things to talk about). Our header is especially off the norm though. I don't usually have anything related to something that people don't like to be reminded of, although school is starting again, and it was just the first thing that came to mind.

I don't have anything in particular to write about "hiding beneath". But I'll just throw a couple things out there.

How about the U.S. Party National Conventions? I didn't watch a majority of it, but the hype around it has been crazy (have you seen all those Yahoo articles that are on the main page of the site?). Hmm, the only things I know are: Sen. Obama had a giant crowd and a fancy stage, Sen. McCain's choice in Palin had caused a huge uprising—with her young experience as a governor, and also of her daughter (which I won't go into detail, because that would be rude). That's about it. Oh, and all that bashing against each other...which I find extremely funny. "No, he's not ready. I am!" *flip to the other side* "Does he seem ready for the job? No, I am!"

Anything else?... Hmm...

Okay, my writer's block is taking over again. I guess that's it for now (darn, what a short post). Hopefully, someone else is going to update this lonely place soon...

A Cycle, A Lifestyle

There are many types of letting go. There's letting go of a hand to get onto a school bus on your first day of school, there's letting go of what's holding you onto the edge of a cliff. They're both different, in many more ways than one, but yet they're the same.

Let's take a back track to before the 'letting go', think back to the 'holding on' part. Think back to when you extended your hand, your heart, your mind, towards that one thing, and latched on. That's the most important part of 'letting go' because without 'holding on' first, there wouldn't be a 'letting go'.

A child's blankie; something given to them not long after they're born. Perhaps even before, at a baby shower. That blanket is what keeps them company. When they're a baby, they lay on it, when they're a toddler they carry it around. It's their best friend, until they outgrow it. There's the 'letting go'. and after a few moments of complete loss, the child is bound to find something else to cling onto: perhaps a doll.

Letting go can't always be for the worst. Perhaps you're in a dead-end job that you can't quit because your boss thinks you love it there and your boss is a 'friend-outside-of-work'. Then one day, they go bankrupt, and what do you know, he tells you he's sorry, but he has to let you go.

Then there is the letting go, literally. Hanging on a wall with nothing but a big huge ten foot space of air between yourself and a cushion, you make the choice: hang on, or don't. Then it's either you fearfully climb back down, or you fall, fall, fall and feel that wooshing feeling in your stomach and your hair whipping around your face. Either way you land on the ground, or on something stable. Something else to lay on- something else to hang on to until you have to let go.

Relief Next to Me

It's me again, sorry your disappointed.

I'm just going to let out of few of the things on my mind and be out of your way (that is if anyone reads this).

There seems to be a lot of things around that are just messed up. Money, relationships, government, the economy, and the list goes on and on (that's are what I hear at least). The very purpose of certain things are just being cast aside like that old iPod cable you lost. I mean, you can't even go to the public school of your choice these days. The very point of the government funding education is to provide a learning outlet for students. If kids were allowed to go to the school of their choice, they'd probably pick a good school. Don't you think that would be great? Still, it is true staff members, teachers, etc. might lose jobs, but could that motivate some people, even students, to try harder? Of course, some students just won't.

On that matter, children grow up on the belief money, which supposedly comes from a good education, brings happiness. Don't get me wrong, education is of the utmost importance. Still, the belief is that money brings happiness. Well, it sure wouldn't hurt to have a lot of it. Seems like a lot of things are cons these days. Another way to get money, be famous. Who doesn't want to be a rock star or something? Yet, you have to wonder, why do they always do drugs and stuff when they have such great lives?

I think it'd be pretty cool to have a family. Some people just aren't that way though (Thrash Unreal, "some people just aren't the type for marriage and family"). How cool would it be to have a great wife, an awesome daughter named Sara, and great son named (haven't finished thinking on this one...), and etc., etc. Still, is that a sham too? People split, kids can become estranged, and a bunch of countless things. I think, if you give into to all of it, it'll happen (Are You Ten Years Ago, "you collapse"). You just have to hope for the best, and strive to make it happen.

Wow, gee, that's a lot of negative stuff. Let's have some laughter, since that's the best dose of anything you can ever have. It's a shame i suck at giving it. Just watch this, always makes me laugh. Anybody know that Star Trek sign?....split your four fingers apart, two on each side with the thumb sorta on the inside? Then you say peace and prosperity, and in response same hand sign but health and long life or something? No?.....me neither. I'm a gater(not sure what we call ourselves) not a trekkie. Seen every darn episode, all 114(I think?) of 'em.
