Pardon Me

Pride can do a lot of things. Whether it’s good or bad, it’s definitely there. It’s that invisible, constant force that draws people to do things. It’s sort of like gravity. It’s the thing that makes you say no thank you to charity, the thing that makes you refuse the obvious, and the thing that just kills you when you lose.

Is pride being chivalrous, or being cocky and brash? Most likely, it’s the latter. While it’s ok just to say no thank you for something, some could consider that a deed of politeness. More often, pride can be described as being a sore-loser, ungrateful, and arrogant.

Do you always submit to authority, feel absolutely dandy when you lose, and feel terrible when you’ve just had a great accomplishment? It’s not always good to always be subjected and controlled by others, or is it not always good to be too boastful. Pride causes these things, and it can cause more. Pride can be related to greed, envy, and probably several other terrible things that plague people.

Getting away from all that; sports can be a magical thing. When you’re really getting into the game, if its soccer, basketball, baseball, or anything else, you don’t think about anything else. All you think about is winning, how you’re going to do it, and actually getting it done. It doesn’t matter who you’re playing with, sports can bond teammates together, regardless of who (most of the time, at least). Most exceptions come from people who don’t really care about the game, are just jerks, or just sit around (not caring).

There are a lot of different kinds of songs.
There are happy, sad, catchy, poppy, sparse, heavy, dense, depressing, just weird, and…(there are a million different usable words that would fit there).
But one kind always really reaches out to me. It’s that sad song that’s not depressing, not heavy, not dense, nothing that just jumps out at you. It’s that sad song that makes you happy, just because it’s so…beautiful. I’m not talking about that sad song that’s just melancholic, or that angry song you listen to when you’re pissed off, or anything. Haha, that’s weird, but it’s true. Of course, for everybody, each song will invoke different emotions.

Just to forcefully shove my personal tastes down your throats (sorry if these are old), examples are: My Number, Hallelujah, Let Down, Haunt You Everyday, and plenty more.

Don’t you just love playful, joyful, hilarious banter (ok, anything that’s funny)?

Finer Feelings

Have you ever stopped and tried to appreciate everything around for you? Just for a few seconds maybe? Sometimes it can be difficult to do. Still, everyone should do it every now and then. Just imagine, your job just plain sucks. Your co-workers are terrible, and the pay doesn't match the workload. Yet, I'm sure you can think of a million other jobs that could be much worse. Perhaps your parents are treating you "unfairly". At least they provide shelter and food to you. They really do love (at least, they're supposed to) you, since during the course of your life they've probably spent hundreds of thousands of dollars raising you, maybe more. Imagine what would happen if they kept all that money, maybe they'd be living some adventurously fun, exciting life, carefree.

Still, guess you have the right to whine every once in a while. Sometimes, it shocks me how unappreciative I am. What a hypocrite.

For those of you who love your job, your situation, wherever you're at at the moment, maybe living your dreams, then congrats. Most of the rest of the world is quite envious of you. Hope you can continue doing what you do best, and loving it. Also, for everyone else's sake, let's hope you can actually do your job well (they're are plenty out there who can't...). If they don't realize it, they're probably ignorant, or arrogant...Though, they'd probably go all crazy if you say it (say it ain't so, it's probably your fault, not mine, don't blame me....blahblah).

You Talk Way Too Much (i try to tell myself to shut up more......it has never really worked...)

I always laugh at this, so will you
That's a great show

on the subject of sparta....this is funny too

Greed and Need (AKA Money)

As sad as it sounds, people's lives revolve around money.

There's always too little- not enough. Always- and that's what really gets to you.

There's this song I love, and it has this one quote;
"When I fall asleep I dream of happiness, in numbers and dollar signs."
When I heard that, the only thing I could really think of was parents.

They're always telling you, "marry a rich man so he can take care of you", "Get a job with good pay", "Study more so you can make lots of money." Money is all they really want you to have. Money brings happiness, no? It does, indeed indeed. Money will take away all your problems.

It's sad how that happens, and in my opinion money is the greatest evil of all. It causes people to rob, it causes people to be greedy, it causes people to do drastic things- but without it, how do we survive?

How would people feed their families? How would they stay sheltered? How would they do anything?

How about all those incredibly rich people? Are they happy? Are they really? Or are they just unsatisfied because they regret not becoming a writer instead of an accountant?

Sometimes, I wonder about my future and what I want to do. Honestly, I have no idea what I want, and it scares me. Once again money comes into play, and get this I get worried. What if I can't get a job and can't move out? What if I can't... blah blah blah.

I've come to the conclusion, that in the end I just want to be happy- get by with what I have.
But will I be happy just getting by?

There's a second "movement" to that song, and here's a line from that;
" I know the secret to your happiness. Take a deep breath, there's only one way; Give all you have away."

Gambling; one of the core reasons why money is evil. The temptation to give in to that huge voice screaming "throw it all in, take the chance of a lifetime". I think that it ruins so many lives. When you think of gambling what do you think? Vegas, cards, and money.

That's what it's all about, and sometimes I wonder if it's really that fun.

Is the chance of losing everything that much of a risk you'd like to take?

anyways, I'm honestly sorry about the incredible seriousnessosity I have on this post;;
karma police (what goes around, comes around)

p.s. for the songs they are this and this; they're live, since I couldn't find the recordings.
